Troubleshooting of:     Monitor Symptom Possible solution Monitor is blank after starting computer. Check to be sure that the Monitor has power and that the light is on. Check your cables connecting your monitor with your computer. NOTE: Depending on your computer and monitor set up you will a specific type of cable . You could have a Standard VGA cable  (Click here) , S-Video cable  (Click here) , DVI cable  (Click here)  or HDMI cable  (Click here) . Make sure all connections are firm and properly in place before retrying to start your computer. Disconnect all devices except for the mouse, keyboard and monitor. Reboot your computer to see if the issue is resolved. If it is, then it is one of the devices that you have disconnected that is causing the problem.  Troubleshooting of: CD and DVD Drives  Symptom Possible solution The CD or DVD drive cannot read a disc or takes too long to start. 1.       Ensure the disc is inserted with the label facing up and centered in the tray. 2.       Wait at least 30 seconds to let the DVD drive determine the type of media. Clean the disc with a CD cleaning kit, available from most PC stores. 3.       The CD or DVD drive cannot read a disc or takes too long to start. The driver may be corrupted or outdated. 4.       Refer to “Updating Drivers” on page 16 for detailed information about restoring and updating drivers. I cannot remove a CD or DVD.
